Les colònies tèxtils: la colònia de La Bauma. Un món i una vida que ja no tornaran.

Abstract

(cat)Quan parlem de colònies tèxtils ho fem referint-nos a nuclis de població i fabrils on, no sols es desenvolupa una activitat econòmica, sinó també una important activitat social, cultural i religiosa. En el treball, sense oblidar els temes pròpiament fabrils i productius, he posat més èmfasi en els segons aspectes. Per fer l’estudi, he utilitzat informació estreta de diverses fonts externes, però també de dades obtingudes de fonts pròpies i vivències personals. He dividit el treball en tres part; en una primera part, molt curta, considero la deslocalització de les industries tèxtils fora de Barcelona i la formació de les colònies; en una segona part parlo dels aspectes, prioritariament socials, que són comuns a totes les colònies, i que fan que es pugui fer una consideració conjunta; en una tercera part, la més llarga, em centro en la Colònia de la Bauma, fent un estudi més detallat dels aspectes esmentats referits a aquesta colònia. En aquest apartat, la major part de la informació inclosa procedeix de documents i informes personals i els continguts són inèdits.

(eng)When it comes to textile colonies, specifically looking at population centers and factories, there are many things to consider. It is evident that although it is designed as an economic development, there are also social, cultural and religious aspects to acknowledge. During the manufacturing process, not only are my concerns on production issues, but also on the latter and the surrounding factors. I wanted to combine my research from information gathered from my own resources, as well as from personal experiences within the industry. I divided the report into three parts. The first part is a brief discussion on the relocation of the textile industry outside of Barcelona. This part solely focuses on the formation of the colonies. In the second part, I discuss the common issues within the colonies, which were investigated and discussed collectively. The final section reviews manufacturing in detail, specifically in the Colony of Bauma. Whilst examining the manufacturing process, I also look at the social, cultural and religious aspects within this colony. This section discusses information from my own personal findings, as well as unpublished resources.
