The aim of this project is to study the capabilities of the current and near future Gaia astrometric and spectroscopic surveys to derive the dynamical age and place of birth of the Young Local Associations (YLAs). We find that already with the accuracies of the Gaia DR1 we are able to study membership and the signatures of the potential. Furthermore, with DR1 we can do a first attempt to determine the place of birth of the association. This will be improved with Gaia end-of-mission accuracies when we will also be able to etermine the dynamical agesca
