Abstract: This final degree project has been thought in order to achieve a closer view of geometry, getting to know the existent handicaps that makes it one of the most difficult areas of mathematics and, therefore, creating activities to solve this problem. I have chosen this topic because, during all the years I have been helping children out of school as a private teacher, I have seen that geometry is the area in which students show more difficulties. As I want to start a career as a high school maths teacher, I want to have enough resources to remedy this situation. We will find this project divided in two main parts. The first one focuses on researching and analysing the schools’ and university curriculums and contents, and setting the differences between them. The second part contains the improvement activities created with the purpose of making geometry more attractive and understandable.
