Abstract: Canonical Correlations Analysis (CCA) is the most general of multivariate statistical techniques. It can be considered an extension of the concepts of analysis simple and multiple correlation. In this work we study CCA according to the classical definition of Hotelling (1936), adding a geometric perspective. Furthermore we explore relationship between CCA and other multivariate tecniques.
