On som? Noves mirades en busca d’un paisatge propi

Abstract

[cat] On Som? Noves Mirades en Busca d’un Paisatge Propi és el treball presentat com a culminació al projecte Després de la Mirada, El Paisatge, començat dos anys enrere amb la voluntat màxima de conèixer com construïm el paisatge, a través de l’experimentació de l’entorn natural. En el camí recorregut la mirada ha pres gran protagonisme en tot el procés, descobrint-me diferents maneres d’apropar-me i conèixer el territori. Un procés basat en la representació xilogràfica i la multiplicació de la imatge. Ara es fa evident la necessitat d’allunyar-me del paisatge i trencar la finestra que crea qualsevol representació, per poder apropar l’espectador al territori i que aquest crei nous vincles amb l’espai que li presento de forma bidimensional. El gran format i la visió frontal de l’espai representat, volen crear una relació obra-espectador el més objectiva possible, per tal que sigui aquest qui experimenti amb total llibertat el territori que se li obra davant els ulls.

[eng] The work “On som? Noves Mirades en Busca d’un Paisatge Propi” (Where are we? New insights in search of an own landscape) is the culmination of the project “Després de la Mirada, El Paisatge” (After the gaze, the landscape), initiated two years ago with the ultimate goal of discovering how we build the landscape through the experimentation of the natural environment. The gaze has become the key element in this experimental process revealing me different ways of getting closer to the territory. A process based on woodcut representation and image multiplication techniques. Now, the need to take a step backwards from the landscape and break the window that recreates it becomes evident in order to connect the spectator with this space presented in a bi-dimensional way, and allow him to build his own relationship with it. The large format and frontal view of the represented space aim to create an objective work-spectator relationship for the viewer to have total freedom in his experimentation of the territory that opens up before his very eyes.
