Abstract: [en] Knowledge is information. Current technological devices are equipped with many sensors capable of gathering different kinds of data. Nowadays the use of mobile phones is widespread and it has become an easy way to obtain information as well as other kinds of help. However, these sensors obtain big amounts of data, which arises a problem when it comes to filtering it. In order to work with this set of data, Machine Learning algorithms are used to process and extract the proper information. This information might come handy for the user in many ways. For instance, it could offer him weather details on his area, news related to his most frequented places or offer him advices to promote healthier living habits; improving in this way his day to day by providing small doses of information. This work is focused on the development of a system capable of detecting a possible personal routine by means of a person’s use of his mobile phone. The main purpose is to be able to locate this user in a specific place at a given time. For that, proper algorithms have been developed in order to process the data obtained through the gps sensor of a mobile device.
