“Renovar-se o morir”. L’associacionisme ètnic de la segona ona migratòria del s. XX a Cornellà de Llobregat.Perspectives de futur

Abstract

[cat] El present treball pretén ser una aproximació a les estratègies de transmissió i relleu de les associacions ètniques de la resta d’Espanya, creades a partir de la segona ona migratòria del s. XX a Catalunya, concretament a Cornellà de Llobregat. En aquell moment, es van començar a crear associacions de caràcter cultural i folclòric, l’objectiu de les quals era preservar i transmetre la cultura d’origen basada en les “arrels”. Es tracta d’associacions creades per sectors d’immigrants procedents d’altres zones d’Espanya, que es van organitzar en funció de les seves cultures d’origen. Tot i la transcendència i la potència mobilitzadora d’amplis sectors de la població, actualment aquestes associacions es troben amb dificultats de relleu generacional i amb una certa inquietud respecte al seu futur. Després de tot un procés d’integració a Catalunya, cal reflexionar sobre el paper de la segona generació d’immigrants, per entendre quins han de ser els nous reptes d’aquestes associacions a l’actualitat. Les arrels i els records d’aquesta generació ja no seran únicament de la terra d’origen dels seus predecessors, sinó que seran experiències i record generats i construïts ja a Cornellà i a Catalunya.

[eng] This present work pretends to be an approach to the strategies of transmission and relevance of the ethnic associations of the rest of Spain, created from the second migratory wave in the 20th century in Catalonia, specifically in Cornellà de Llobregat. In that moment, some folkloric and cultural associations started being created which aim was to preserve and transmit the culture of their original rooted base. These associations were created by sectors of immigrants coming from others areas of Spain organized according to their cultures of origin. Eventhough their transcendence and their mobilizing power of wide sectors of population, nowadays, these associations find difficulties dealing with generational issues and with a certain restlessness regarding their future. After a process of integration in Catalonia, it is necessary to think about the role of second-generation-immigrants in order to understand which have to be the new challenges of these associations in the present. The roots and the rememberings of this generation will no longer be rooted on the land or their ancestors, but full with new experiences and memories generated and built already in Cornellà and in Catalonia.
