Abstract: Barcelona is getting older. There are nearly 350,000 registered residents aged 65 or over in our city, and the forecasts say that there will be around 375,000 before 2030, or nearly 400,000: 25% of the population, when the baby boom generation, born between 1960 and 1975, become senior citizens.
