Abstract: [en] In this work we will study, first of all, the deterministic chaos that appears in Hamiltonian systems and, secondly, the chaos in dissipative systems. We will support each step with numerical simulation using a numerical integrator for the computation of solutions. In the analysis of chaos in Hamiltonian systems, we will reproduce the essential results obtained by Michael Hénon in his course Numerical Exploration of Hamiltonian Systems. And, in the analysis of chaos in dissipative systems, we will study Lorenz’s equations. All in all in order to introduce ourselves to the chaotic world and, at the same time, to show the usefulness of the numerical analysis for the study of dynamic systems.
