(eng) The autonomous communities’ indebtedness has really increased through the last years but we do not know if this indebtedness is just consequence of the crisis. For this reason, in this project, we try to find out if there has been a soft budget constraint in the autonomous communities in recent years (2002-2016). This inquiry has been carried out using an econometric model which incorporates all common regime communities’ variables (15 autonomous communities) following a panel data’s way. The results have been obtained by estimating specific models for panel data such as fixed effects and random effects using the Gretl statistical program. Finally, despite the significance of some of the variables, it has been concluded that there is not enough evidence to assert that there has been a soft budget constraint in recent years. |
