| Abstract: | Resumo: O artigo reconstrói a relação mantida entre os dois escritores ao longo de quarenta anos, amizade submetida aos vaivens da vida literária e a de seus próprios interesses e reservas. O ponto final dessa amizade foi colocado por Umbral ao publicar Cela: un cadáver exquisito, obra analisada neste artigo, situando-a no contexto de sua relação literária e pessoal Abstract: This paper reconstructs the relationship maintained between the two writers over forty years, friendship subject to the difficulties of literary life and their own interests and reservations.
