In this work the results of simulations of Y-Junction photonic waveguides in a 2D Photonic Crystal (PhC) based on silicon pillars are presented. The aim is to study the variation in the transmission spectra in the near-infrared (NIR) for small displacements of the pillars placed in the photonic waveguide through simulations of the electromagnetic field propagation via the Finite-Difference Time-Domain Method (FDTD). The small displacements of the pillars simulate their bends caused by stress forces of living tissues placed on their top.ca
