Abstract: Stress biomarkers as hair cortisol indicate that the stress degree decreases throughout the time in farm Mild indications of the benefits of positive handling In the proteomic approach, many of the identified proteins are targets of GCs and, hence, indicate that changes in the PBMC proteome mirror the variations of endogenous cortisol and the degree of stress, since they vary concomitantly with hair cortisol and APPs. Taken together, these findings suggest that changes in the PBMC proteome may be sensitive indicators of animal stress
