lucrativos bajo supuestas prácticas bottom-up (Corral & Fraile, 2018; Navajas Corral & Fernández
[eng] The revitalization plan, Gibraleón, Capital of El Odiel, arises as a response to the inadequacy of heritage policies that, governed by political interests, have undermined local governance and undervalued the potential of Gibraleón's biocultural resources. The project aims to open new guidelines in the field of management and biocultural heritage as tools to achieve the SDGs of the United Nations. It seeks local participation and inclusion in the management of the commons by exploring alternative and alter-heritage management strategies that have focused on investigating different levels of participation. An analysis that invites reflection on the social benefit of heritage and the potential of citizen participation in heritage management, but warns of its instrumentalization by the authorized discourses of power that mask political interests and private economic gain under alleged bottom-up practices (Corral & Fraile, 2018; Navajas Corral & Fernández Fernández, 2019; Sánchez-Carretero et al., 2019) that serve as a tool to legitimize the authorized voice (González-Ruibal, 2014) through the institutionalization of "alter-heritage" processes. |
