[eng] The use that the cinematographic medium makes of those images that appear on the screen during a fleeting time, with the aim of cognitively affecting the viewer, without their becoming aware of it, has been a subject that has been dealt with in a theoretical, critical and historiographical with excessive lightness and lack of rigor. However, from the disciplines of experimental psychology and neuroscience, a large academic literature has been generated, focused in addressing how these stimuli can affect the neural processes triggered by subsequent stimuli, developing methodological proposals easily applicable to film studies. Based on this scientific production, we are focused on the adoption of an interdisciplinary perspective, where the contributions made in recent years by these traditions, converge with those emanating from film theory to address the manifestations of the cinematic subliminal image through consolidated and proven methodological processes. |
