Abstract: In this work we simulate the 1D movement of a Brownian particle under the actuation of a ratchet-like potential, to verify if we can achieve transport and what conditions are necessary. In particular, we study two simplified cases inspired by real-life experiments: a particle in a system of wells separated by some distance, and a moving dipole in a chain of dipoles
