Esport i democratització en un període de canvi. Evolució del fenomen esportiu a Barcelona durant la transició democràtica (1975-1982)

Abstract

[cat] La anàlisi de l'evolució del fenomen esportiu a la ciutat de Barcelona durant la transició democràtica (1975-1982) és l'objecte d'estudi d'aquesta tesi doctoral. El mencionat període constituí un marc de profundes transformacions jurídiques, socials i polítiques que possibilitaren la definitiva modernització del país i la massiva incorporació de l'esport entre els nous estils de vida dels espanyols. Des d'una perspectiva historiogràfica doncs, aquesta recerca s'apropa a la realitat del fenomen esportiu durant la transició democràtica, amb la intenció de determinar si en paral·lel a la democratització del sistema polític estatal s'esdevingué un procés de massificació esportiva a la ciutat de Barcelona. Aquest estudi presenta una estructura cronològica i temàtica, aprofundint en les actuacions entorn a les manifestacions esportives de les diferents administracions -estatal, autonòmica, provincial i municipal-i de l'associacionisme esportiu i veïnal, durant el període 1975-1982. En aquest sentit, s'observa que malgrat la reestructuració governamental estatal característica de la primera meitat de la transició democràtica (1975-1979), seguí essent l'associacionisme esportiu el principal promotor de la transformació del fenomen esportiu a la ciutat comtal. D'ençà de les eleccions municipals del 3 d'abril de 1979 i fins a les eleccions legislatives de l'octubre de 1982, l'Ajuntament de Barcelona passà a encapçalar la mencionada transformació a través de la implementació d'una diversificada política esportiva que, al seu torn, accelerà l'evolució de l'associacionisme esportiu cap a plantejaments més propers a l'esport per a tothom. Alhora, cal mencionar la intensificació del col·laboracionisme existent entre les diferents administracions i l'associacionisme esportiu i veïnal com a conseqüència de la definició de les polítiques esportives municipal, provincial i autonòmica, de l'inici del procés de candidatura per als Jocs Olímpics de 1992 i de la convergència entorn a l'afavoriment del procés de massificació esportiva a la ciutat de Barcelona.

[eng] The analysis of the evolution of the sport phenomenon in the city of Barcelona during the democratic transition (1975-1982) is the object of study of this doctoral thesis. The mentioned period constituted a frame of deep legal, social and political transformations. These changes made possible the definitive modernization of the country and the massive incorporation of the sport between the new styles of life of the Spaniards. From a historiographycal perspective then, this investigation comes near to the reality of the sport phenomenon during the democratic transition. The object of it was to determine if in parallel to the democratization of the state political system a process of sport massification in the city of Barcelona took place. This study presents a chronological and thematic structure, deepening in the performances surroundings to the sport manifestations of the different administrations -state, autonomic, provincial and local- and from the sport and neighbourhood associationism, during the period 1975-1982. In this sense, it is observed that in spite of the governmental reconstruction state characteristic of first half of the democratic transition (1975-1979), sport associationism continued being the main promoter of the sport phenomenon transformation in Barcelona. From the local elections held on 3 April 1979 and until the legislative elections -October 1982-, the Town Council happened to lead the mentioned transformation through the implementation of a diversified sports policy that, as well, accelerated the evolution of the sport associationism towards expositions nearer the sport for all. In turn, it is necessary to mention the intensification of the existing collaborationism between the different administrations and the sport and neighbourhood associationism as a result of the sport policies definition, of the beginning of the process of candidacy for the Olympic Games of 1992 and of the convergence surroundings to the process of sport massification in Barcelona.
