Abstract: Founded in 1863 and headquartered in Leverkusen, Germany, since 1912, Bayer is known as an inventor company, a researcher which applies its scientific expertise to create innovations in order to pursue its slogan, Bayer: Science For A Better Life. According to its mission: “Bayer is a global enterprise with core competencies in the fields of healthcare, nutrition and high-tech materials. As an inventor company, we set trends in research-intensive areas. Our products and services are designed to benefit people and improve the quality of life. At the same time we aim to create value through innovation, growth and high earning power. We are committed to the principles of sustainable development and to our social and ethical responsibilities as a corporate citizen.” With respect to the Bayer’s values, they can be summarized in a word which in turn belongs to its slogan: LIFE, Leadership, Integrity, Flexibility and Efficiency.
