dc.description.abstractThe topic of this work is the experimental discovery of the momentum of quanta by Arthur Compton that con rmed its momentum in 1923. In his famous paper about the now called Compton E ect, he concluded that radiation have a particle nature, something that allowed Pauli, Einstein and Ehrenfest to solve the equilibrium between radiation and matter, a problem set out by Einstein in 1916.ca
