Abstract: Slaves' sellers had to declare the defects, vices and illnesses of the slaves sold to the buyers. If they did not do it, the buyers could demand the total amount of money back (actio redhibitoria) or just some part of it (actio aestimatoria vel quanto minus). Which were the defects, vices or illnesses of the slaves in the XIV and XV centuries? Which laws or rules were applied to them?
