Abstract: This final degree project has been thought in order to help the reader understand the way maths teaching has changed and what kind of changes there have been in mathematical didactics. I have chosen this topic because I want to start a career as a high school maths teacher, and I was curious to know why maths are taught this way and not differently. In order to fulfil this project, I have looked for a list of “the most important” authors in mathematical didactics and education, exposing their point of view about the topic. In this project we will find nine different authors, but I will focus more thoroughly on the ones that were born and worked in Catalonia and Spain, without undermining the other authors, and explaining the influence they have had on each other in some cases. Finally, I organized these authors on a temporal line in order to condense the project as simply as possible, and with this temporal line I have made a simple website with the basics about the authors that appear in the final degree project.
