This article is a psychocultural essay on the psychological repercussions of the sociocultural transformation of recent decades. After summarizing the fundamental features of Modernity and the new sociocultural conditions, the account focuses on the psychological consequences, establishing two phases: a pre-neurotic phase and a neurotic phase. Different approaches to these new sociocultural challenges are proposed. Finally, guidelines for possible therapies are suggested.-
