Abstract

[cat] La meva idea d´obra d´art no està fundada sobre una tècnica concreta ni específica, sinó en una fusió de les propietats simbòliques que qualsevol material ens pot aportar i les relacions que aquest pot mantenir amb el context en el que participa. És des de la pròpia experiència quotidiana, des de la relació amb els altres, amb l´espai i la tècnica, com assumeixo la pràctica artística. Estudio el meu sentiment de buit en determinats moments, i busco representar la força que aquest buit conté, en relació a la pèrdua personal d´un ésser estimat. Gairebé totes les meves estratègies conceptuals tenen relació amb la fragilitat del cos i de la vida, amb el temps que passa, i la realitat de que un dia desapareixerem. El caire canviant i no permanent de les coses em fa desconstruir-les i tornar-les a dotar d´una altra estabilitat.

[eng] My idea of work of arts is not based on a specific or defined technique, but on a fusion of the symbolic properties that any material can bring to us and the relations that it can keep with the context in which it participates. It is from the own ordinary experience, from the relationship with others, with space and technique, that I assume the artistic practice. I study my sentiment of emptiness in particular moments, and I seek to represent the strength that this emptiness embodies, regarding to the personal loss of a beloved one. Nearly all my conceptual strategies have got a connection to the fragility of body and life, and time passing by, and the reality that one day we will disappear. The changing and not permanent nature or side of things makes me deconstruct them and give them another balance.
