An Organic Rankine Cycle is an ideal model that describes power cycles processes that have a low temperature heat source such as biomass, solar energy or waste heat from conventional power plants. This kind of cycles can be modelled and simulated numerically using simple programming languages and specific libraries that contain essential information about phase transition and different properties for a great variety of substances. The aim of this project is to simulate numerically an ORC using Python 2.7 and the library Coolprop, find out how the power produced and the efficiency vary depending on different variables, and finally try to optimize it with some environmental conditions fixed.eng
