| spa |
dc.description.abstract | [eng] The objective of my work is not based on political critique. The investigation that follows is based on historical and political personalities and their representation. It consists of a demystification of the regal or political personalities and their staging: paintings, numismatics, press, television, etc. A revision separated from all ideology and without destroying the appearance that turned them into iconic figure. Scenes that created the character and/or dominated their image are turned into their opposite: scenes liberated from their original sense. I give an almost “sensationalist” use of their representation and the way I believe it is captured and assimilated by the observers. The identification of personalities or, rather, the characters, is no longer easy: they don't seem to belong to their time or their status; they're not even accompanied by the corresponding national symbology. It's an infinite game of anachronisms. | eng |
