Pasolini. Medea: μῦθος καὶ σῆμα para denunciar la catástrofe contemporánea

[spa] La tragedia de Medea es también para Pasolini la tragedia del mundo contemporáneo occidental, y el cine, según dice, es la semiología de la realidad. La Medea del director italiano deviene, pues, un mito antiguo portador de señales diversas que han de ser interpretadas por espectadores no distraídos. El objetivo de este artículo es precisamente ofrecer interpretaciones razonadas por el hecho de analizar minuciosamente imágenes y discursos (lógoi) del guión, teniendo siempre en cuenta las explicaciones del mismo director presentes en entrevistas y todo tipo de escritos.

[eng] To Pasolini Medea’s tragedy is likewise the tragedy of the contemporary Western world and cinema is the semiology of reality. His Medea thus becomes an ancient myth pregnant with signs to be interpreted by attentive viewers. My aim here is to put forward reasoned interpretations based on a close analysis of the images and verbal discourse (lógoi) of Pasolini's script, ever mindful of the explanations given by the director himself that have been published in interviews, articles and other texts.
