dc.description.abstract[eng] In spontaneous speech, there is always the presence of proverbs and idioms, since they are a part of the linguistic tradition to express a complex reality. These units are not compositional, because their meaning doesn’t depend on the meaning of every lexical unit in the construction, but instead the construction has meaning as a whole. If so, why are there mistakes in these units, if they have a fixed linguistic structure? In this paper, the speech mistakes in these multiword expressions will be analysed, as well as the influence of the higher frequency of the words (and expressions) that contain this kind of errors, since the cause for these errors might lie in the low frequency of the original words. Key words: speech mistakes, corpus, multiword expressions, compositionalityca
