dc.description.abstract[en] Localizations of homotopy theories are a fundamental tool in algebraic topology. They were introduced by Bousfield in the seventies to study topological spaces. Nowadays, these constructions are formulated, much more generally, using the language of model categories and play a key role in abstract homotopy theory. The main objectives of this project is prove that several known model structures in topological spaces, whose homotopy categories model truncated homotopy types, are instances Bousfield localizations.ca
