Abstract: From a sample of 232 × 10 6 Υ ( 4 S ) → B ¯¯¯ B events collected with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II B Factory in 1999-2004, we measure the B − → D 0 K * − ( 892 ) decay branching fraction using events where the K * − is reconstructed in the K 0 S π − mode and the D 0 in the K − π + , K − π + π 0 , and K − π + π + π − channels: B ( B − → D 0 K * − ( 892 ) ) = ( 5.29 ± 0.30 ( stat ) ± 0.34 ( syst ) ) × 10 − 4 .
