Abstract: [en] This project has two main objectives. The first one is to give a general and introductory idea of what causality is, especially in problems that can be represented by directed acyclic grafs. Do-calculus and interventions are introduced as a tool to identify and quantify causal effects. Moreover, this document wants to serve as an introductory but complete study to anyone interested in this field. The second objective is to improve in a given problem: which are the causes of altitude sickness? From here we will explore how oxygen saturation affects altitude sickness. Is low oxygen saturation the cause of altitude sickness or is it only a mediator of altitude?
