dc.description.sponsorship(eng) As studies and some economists point out, modern economies are able to grow through three pillars. These three pillars are: the inflows of FDI, ODA and the arrival of remittances which can produce growth and economic development for the recipient country. The main objective of this essay is to analyze the impact of FDI and the entry of remittances on the economic growth of a group of Southeast Asian countries between 1990 and 2012. The countries studied in this work are: India, Pakistan, Banglasdesh and Sri Lanka. A study of panel data is carried out through an econometric model that incorporates different variables that can influence the economic growth of a given country. The study focuses between 1990 and 2012. The results show that the econometric model used in the work helps to explain efficiently and correctly the variables that have contributed to the economic growth of Southeast Asia. The model is significant, so it offers us a vision in accordance with the reality of the data and allows us to draw correct conclusions about which variable has the greatest influence. In conclusion, during the period studied, FDI contributes positively to the growth of the countries studied, while remittances contribute negatively to this growth.ca
