In this work, I describe a method for creating holograms with a digital micromirror device. The purpose is to later use holograms to create arbitrary potentials for the potassium Bose-Einstein condensate experiment of the ICFO's Quantum Gases Group. The optical aberrations of the DMD and optical system used to create holograms are measured and corrected. I have been succesful in the creation of holograms in the Fourier planeca
