Repensar un museu. L'actualització del Museu de Ripoll en la perspectiva de la seva història

[cat] Inaugurat al públic l'any 1929, l'Arxiu-Museu Folklòric de Ripoll va materialitzar per primer cop a Catalunya l'interès erudit pels objectes com a testimonis de les formes de vida tradicionals. L'obra impulsada per Tomàs Raguer no es limitaria a fixar-se en les manifestacions orals i expressives de la cultura popular sinó que, reflectint els canvis produïts per la creixent industrialització, va ampliar el camp del folklore en prendre alhora en consideració les condicions materials d'existència. El desmuntatge de les sales de l'antic museu per tal de refer la coberta de l'església de Sant Pere ha obligat a haver de repensar el futur d'aquesta entitat just en el moment que se celebra el 75è aniversari de la seva fundació. El nou Museu de Ripoll haurà de recolzar-se en un projecte museològic actualitzat i dotar-se dels mitjans necessaris per poder respondre a les demandes i les expectatives de què són objecte avui els museus etnològics. En aquest context, l'obra dels folkloristes ripollesos no només permet atorgar sentit a les col·leccions aplegades i apreciar el potencial dels objectes que les integren, sinó que ha de considerar-se com a una part important del seu valor patrimonial.

[eng] The Arxiu-Museu Folklòric de Ripoll was inaugurated in 1929 and materialized, for the first time in Catalonia, an erudite interest for objects as evidences of traditional ways of life. The work promoted by Tomàs Raguer was not limited to observe oral manifestations of popular culture. It also reflected the changes produced by the incipient process of industrialization and took into consideration the transformations on the material conditions of existence. They expanded and refined the field of folklore. In its 75th anniversary, the rooms of the old museum have been dismantled in order to remake the Sant Pere's church roof. This remodelling has forced to reconsider the future of the museum. The new Museu de Ripoll should be informed by an actualized museologic project and should dispose of the resources needed to attend the demands and expectations modern ethnological museums have. In this context, the work of the folklorists from Ripoll provides sense to the gathered collections, it emphasizes the explanatory potential of the objects that form the collections, and it has to be considered as a very important part of its patrimonial value.
