La dona intersticial

Abstract

[cat] La dona intersticial és un projecte que parteix de l’estat psicològic i emocional d’una dona d’edat madura i mare, per analitzar i reflexionar sobre el gènere i el rol femení en la societat patriarcal contemporània. Les qüestions plantejades giren entorn a la construcció d’una identitat femenina desproveïda de subjecte i l’enfocament exclusiu cap a la funció sexual i domèstica del rol determinat. Un recorregut per l’exercici de la maternitat aglutinada a la naturalesa, així com l’espai privat dins la conjunció amb la propietat domèstica i la transformació fisiològica en la menopausa. Tota una sèrie de reflexions que s’estructuren a partir de fonts documentals, bibliogràfiques i visuals i es fonamenten a través de l’anàlisi experiencial d’un cas concret: una dona submergida en un buit identitari i una melancolia constitutiva. Una crisis esdevinguda com a conseqüència històrica, cultural i social. El projecte artístic consta d’una vídeo-instal·lació formada per dues gases com a pantalla i separades per un interstici on s’esdevé una doble projecció. Un relat audiovisual que s’endinsa en aquesta quotidianitat femenina per aflorar allò que s’amaga sota la pell de la feminitat.

[eng] La dona intersticial (The interstitial woman) is a project that starts from the psychological and emotional state of a mature woman and mother, to analyse and reflect on the gender and female role in contemporary patriarchal society. The issues raised revolve around the construction of a feminine identity devoid of subject and the exclusive focus towards the sexual and domestic function of the determined role. A journey through the exercise of motherhood agglutinated in nature, as well as the private space in conjunction with domestic property and the physiological transformation in menopause. A whole series of reflections that are structured from documentary, bibliographic and visual sources and are based on the experiential analysis of a specific case: a woman submerged in an identity emptiness and a constitutive melancholy. A crisis that has happened as a historical, cultural and social consequence. The artistic project consists of a video installation made up of two gases as a screen and separated by an interstice where there is a double projection. An audio-visual story that goes into this feminine daily life to emerge what is hidden under the skin of femininity.
