| Abstract: | Ajax is, in Sophocles' tragedy as in the literary tradition, a character that is in conflict with the gods and men. Sophocles takes other characters in the epic tradition Hector and Odisseus to show the aspects in which Ajax is problematic and eventually to rehabilitate him. |
