[cat] L'article ressenya el llibre 'Això del català', d'Albert Pla Nualart, centrant-se especialment en la seva primera part, una proposta de revisió del model de llengua estàndard vigent, així com d'alguns punts de la normativa. La ressenya és crítica amb el discurs subjectiu, sovint tòpic, del llibre, que no reïx a vertebrar en un marc de paràmetres contrastables i rigor científic les propostes que s'hi contenen; a més, assenyala alguns problemes i debats entorn de l'estàndard qüestionat que són obviats en l'argumentació.
[eng] This paper reviews Això del català by Albert Pla Nualart, focusing on its first part, which is an attempt at revising the current model of standard Catalan as well as some points of its prescriptive grammar. The review is critical of the book's subjective, often trite, discourse, which fails to ground its proposals in verifiable parameters and lacks scientific rigourousness. It also points out that the book ignores some problems and debates surrounding the standard it questions.
