Abstract: Rich-club effect is a phenomenon where nodes of higher degree in a network tend to be highly well-connected between them. In this work we aim to quantify it, analyze its presence in a wide range of different real networks, propose a new expression to calculate rich-club effect and discuss its utility to quantify this phenomemon
