dc.description.abstract[eng] The aim of this project is to analyse the development of circular towers in the border area during the High Middle Ages (8th - 10th centuries) and the problems that the origins have caused. Since the beginning of the 19th century, there has been a debate, which remains open, about the chronology of these structures and has generated a lot of controversy. The context in which the towers are located is what I want to study and also know their use during the High Middle Ages. Because of this objective, I have carried out a bibliographic research, which includes publications, documental source and archaeological memories. In this case, I wanted to focus on the study on the Torrassa del Moro, located in Llinars del Vallès (Vallès Oriental) in order to better understand the subject and the state of the issue, as this building has been a reference for many researchers.ca
