dc.description.abstract[en] The aim of this Final Degree Project is to explore the impact that the use of renewable energies would have for certain areas of Rubí. Concretely, we want to observe the impact that the use of these energies would have for the families of Rubí in the economic field, we want to check what would be the best distribution system for the municipality and if there are areas of Rubí that can be self-sufficient. To give a more realistic perspective to the work, we contacted with technicians from Rubí town hall. To carry out this work we have designed and implemented a model based on agents that simulates an electricity market for different areas of Rubí, in this simulation we will have two different agents: the houses (they will simulate the different families living in Rubí) and the electric power company. These agents will be able to interact with each other during the course of the simulation in order to supply electricity to all of the houses in the municipality. Technologies such as netlogo, a framework that allows multi-agent models to be implemented, have been used to implement the model. The results obtained with the model are clear, the self-production of electricity helps families to significantly reduce the electricity bill, on the other hand, it is currently difficult for groups of houses to be self-sufficient, as it is not possible accumulate electricity and those days of low production must go to the electricity company.ca
