Religare

Abstract

[cat] Religare és un retaule a partir d’una pintura de la Santa Múnia i un seguit de dibuixos basats en l’experiència personal, sobre un passat que es repeteix a mode de records i accions on la repressió era quelcom normalitzat. El treball és una crítica a una institució i a uns mètodes d’adoctrinament, una reflexió sobre l’anacrocisme de la religió cristiana, i com aquesta afecta a la dona i a la seva sexualitat. Qüestiono, en forma de sàtira, el comportament incoherent segons el que prediquen els fidels, especialment el dels membres de l’Opus Dei. Religare és un reconciliament amb el meu propi cos i una crida a la llibertat, per poder, per fi, establir una cloenda amb aquest passat i deixar-lo enrere.

[eng] Religare is an altarpiece from a painting of Santa Múnia and a series of drawings based on personal experiences, about a past where repression was something normalized. The project is a critique of an institution and its methods of indoctrination, a reflection on the anachronism of the Christian religion, and how it affects women and their sexuality. I question, in the form of satire, the inconsistent behavior of the faithful, especially from the members of Opus Dei. Religare is a reconciliation with my own body and a call to freedom, to be able to finally establish a closing with this past and leave it behind.
