Abstract

[spa] Cartografías es una obra que surge de un obstinado proceso de aprendizaje. Es expresión de un alfabeto artístico donde la palabra y la obra buscan encontrarse a través de preguntas sobre aquello que acontece en el proceso creativo. Presenta los territorios que se han transitado para articular un estudio sobre el rostro. Hace explícitas intuiciones, reflexiones y querencias. Poéticas y artísticas. Trata de abrir caminos con la única intención de abrirlos. Convoca a “hacer rizoma y no raíz”. Todo ello ha quedado recogido en un cuaderno de artista que, bajo el título elkartaratzeak eta itaunak [trobades i preguntes], profundiza en las diferentes posibilidades discursivas y artísticas del grabado.

[eng] Cartographies is an artwork that emerges from a stubborn learning process. It's an expression of an artistic alphabet where the word and the work seek to meet through questions about what happens in the creative process. It presents the territories that have been crossed to articulate a study on the face. Making explicit intuitions, reflections and wishes. Poetic and artistic. It seeks to open paths with the only intention to open them. It calls for “making rhizome and not root”. All this has been collected in an artist´s notebook that, under the title elkartaratzeak eta itaunak, delves into the different discursive and artistic possibilities of printmaking.
