dc.description.abstract | Nowadays, the global climate is warming and the energy crisis is gradually worsening. Wind power is an effective way to deal with this energy crisis. However, due to the imperfection of the demand market, part of the energy of the wind farm is wasted. In this thesis, the suburbs of La Coruña (Arteixo, Loureda and Armentón de Arriba) were chosen as the site for the implantation of a wind farm with an actual power of 50 MW, and a hydrogen production system of about 10 MW was constructed to make full use of the wasted energy of the wind farm. Through the Weibull probability function, to compile and analyze the wind data of this region over the past 20 years, and then calculate the corresponding annual electricity production and hydrogen production of the power plant by selecting the appropriate wind turbine and electrolyzer. Finally, the costs of the wind farm and the electrolyzer system are calculated separately to obtain the costs of electricity generation and hydrogen for comparison with commercially available products. The results show that the LCOE of the wind farm is 34.1 €/MWh and the payback period of the plant is 12.8 years if sold at the market price, while the hydrogen production cost of the electrolyzer system is 1.95 €/kg and the payback period is about 10 years if sold at the market price.
