La transformació del paisatge d’alta muntanya als Pirineus Estudi de l’activitat antròpica dels segles IX i XII i els seus camins al Port del Cantó (Pallars Sobirà i Alt Urgell)

[cat]Durant l’època medieval a Catalunya, es van produir grans desplaçaments de la població des de les zones del sud cap a les terres del nord a causa de la invasió musulmana. La muntanya era vista com a un punt de refugi, fet que va provocar l’establiment de nous nuclis de població. Aquest cas podria tractar-se de l’entorn del Port del Cantó, lloc de trobada dels comtats de Pallars i Urgell i on es troba una concentració de nuclis d’hàbitat. Es tracta d’una àrea poc estudiada tant a escala històrica com arqueològica. A partir dels Sistemes d’Informació Geogràfica (SIG) i amb el coneixement de l'anomalia climàtica medieval d'entre els segles IX i XII, s’han pogut realitzar diverses anàlisis del terreny per a tenir un millor coneixement del territori i saber quines zones eren més aptes per al cultiu i si existeix alguna relació amb l’establiment dels nuclis de població i les zones d’agricultura, les quals han estat identificades per la fotografia aèria. També s’ha establert quines són les àrees de captació de recursos de cada lloc i les relacions amb l’entorn a partir dels camins identificats. Aquest treball vol donar un nou punt de vista sobre l’estudi arqueològic del territori d’alta muntanya i fer visible que encara queda molt per a estudiar en aquestes zones pirinenques.

[eng] During the medieval period in Catalonia, there were large displacements of the population from the southern areas to the northern lands due to the Muslim invasion. The mountain was seen as a point of refuge, which led to the establishment of new settlements. This case could be around the Port del Cantó, a bordering place between the counties of Pallars and Urgell and where there is a concentration of habitats. This is a little-studied area, both historically and archeologically. From the Geographic Information Systems and with the knowledge of the medieval climatic anomaly between the 9th and 12th centuries, it has been possible to carry out various analyses of the terrain to have a better knowledge of the territory and to know which areas were more suitable for cultivation and if there is any relationship with the establishment of population centres and agricultural areas, which have been identified by aerial photography. It has also been established which are the areas of fundraising of each place and the relations with the environment from the identified paths. This work aims to give a new point of view on the archaeological study of the high mountain territory and make visible that there is still much to study in these Pyrenean areas.
