La vida canonical a la catedral de Vic (886-1230). L’aplicació de la reforma gregoriana a partir de l’estudi prosopogràfic

[cat] Estudi prosopogràfic de tots els canonges de la catedral de Vic documentats des de l’any 886, moment de restauració del bisbat, fins l’any 1230 al final de l’episcopat del bisbe Guillem de Tavertet quan ja es disposen de fons notarials. S’analitza l’origen social dels canonges i els llinatges als quals van pertànyer i les formes com van entrar a formar-ne part. L’estudi dels testaments i altre documentació ha permès establir l’evolució de la vida dels canonges i els canvis que es van produir amb l’aplicació de la reforma gregoriana. Destaca la relació que va existir entre la catedral de Vic i la canònica de Sant Pere d'Àger i la presència en aquesta comunitat de l’escolàstic Rainier que l’any 1072 passarà a Roma on esdevindrà cardenal, actuant en la restauració de Tarragona l’any 1091 i escollit papa l’any 1099 amb el nom de Pasqual II. A partir del segle XII es crea el capitol de la catedral seguint les normes del dret canònic amb capacitat d’elegir els bisbes i tenir el govern de la diòcesi en els períodes de seu vacant. Elaborem els arbres genealògics de les famílies que van tenir members a la cathedral, tant de la noblesa com de la burgesia de Vic. La segona part de la tesi és la publicació de les notes biogràfiques de 374 canonges identificats Durant aquest període i l’edició de 448 documents que documenten els canonges en el moment de la seva esntrada al capitol de la cathedral i els seus testaments. De tots aquests documents se n’ha elaborate un índex de noms al final relacionant-lo amb les notes prosopogràfiques dels canonges.

[eng] Prosopographical study of all the canons of Vic Cathedral documented from the year 886, when the bishopric was restored, until the year 1230 at the end of the episcopate of bishop Guillem de Tavertet, when there are already notarial records. The study analyses the social origin of the canons and the lineages to which they belonged and the ways in which they became part of them. The study of testaments and other documentation has made it possible to establish the evolution of the life of the canons and the changes that took place with the application of the Gregorian reform. It underlines the relationship that existed between the cathedral of Vic and the canonry of Sant Pere of Àger at the beginning of the 11th century and the presence in this community of the scholastic Rainier, who in 1072 moved to Rome, where he became a cardinal, and acted in the restoration of Tarragona in 1091. He was then elected pope in 1099 under the name of Pasqual II. From the 12th century onwards, the cathedral chapter was created following the rules of canon law, with the power to elect the bishops and to govern the diocese during periods of vacancy.
