Abstract: | We read with great interest the recent report in the American Journal of Cardiology by Hoetzer et al.1 The investigators addressed the question of whether in healthy, middle-aged subjects circulating endothelial progenitor cell (EPC) number and function (capacity to form colonies) are different in women and men. It was a study well conducted by an experienced team. |
