dc.description.abstractThe aim of this work is to study the fluid-front dynamics within microchannels of different geometries. A first rectangular and hydrophobic microchannel has a groove geometry reproducing a defect. A second geometry consists in many wedges repeated along an hydrophilic microchannel. The latter has a specific geometry that together with the hydrophilic contact angle causes a mass injection that partially compensates frictionca
