La torre de Montagut a Santa Susanna: una torre de telegrafia òptica civil.

Abstract

[cat] Avui dia es té un coneixement molt dispers sobre les torres de telegrafia òptica i la seva funció. Aquest desconeixement pot ser causat per la desaparició física de la totalitat o de parts d’aquestes torres i per la manca de documentació, la qual cosa provoca que sovint, les torres de telegrafia òptica se situïn en una època de la història que no és la seva. A Catalunya, els estudis sobre aquest tema, s’han realitzat a partir de treballs de camp sobre les restes físiques de les torres. Amb aquest treball s’intenta aprofundir en el coneixement de la torre de Montagut a Santa Susanna, una torre de telegrafia òptica civil, a partir de les meves observacions i estudi de camp, ja que la documentació existent és molt escassa i general. Donar a conèixer aquesta torre a la gent i donar-l’hi el valor que es mereix serien els objectius principals que m’he fixat a l’hora de presentar una proposta d’actuació i d’interpretació. En aquesta proposta s’intenta marcar uns passos a seguir per aconseguir donar-li vida a la torre i treure-la de l’abandonament que pateix actualment, fent que la gent la pugui visitar i gaudir amb comoditat tot aprenent què era realment, per què servia i quina era la seva estructura i funcionament.

[eng] Nowadays, there is quite disperse knowledge about optic telegraphy towers and their functionality. These misunderstandings may be caused by the total or partial physical disappearance of those towers and the lack of documentation, causing these buildings to be situated in a wrong historical period. In Catalonia, the studies regarding this thematic have been carried out with the physical remains of these towers. This research tries to deepen Montagut’s Tower knowledge in Santa Susanna regarding the actual scarce and generical documentation. Showing this tower to people and giving its well-deserved value is the aim of this research when planning an actuation and interpretation proposal. This proposal is willing to give the necessary steps to revive the tower and pull it from its actual abandonment state, making it available to receive visits and making people enjoy it comfortably while learning its actual story, utility, structure and operation.
