Dos talls sincrònics en els cognoms de Ponts

[cat] Els cognoms són elements nominals i hereditaris d’origen remot. Partint de l’interès per conèixer-ne millor l’origen, aquest treball se centra a explicar la gènesi de cent cognoms de la vila de Ponts, extrets d’un padró de 1889 i un cens de 1975. No són mots qualssevol, dels quals s’hagi de cercar l’ètim; el seu origen només pot trobar-se si es va més enllà de la llengua i es tenen en compte diferents factors. És per això que en l’anàlisi s’han considerat nocions lingüístiques, històriques i geogràfiques, a més de les hipòtesis d’altres autors. Així, el treball ha resultat en un compendi sintètic de cognoms amb l’origen, explicació i variants formals. Finalment, en un apartat conclusiu, s’ofereix un visió de conjunt dels resultats, en què s’evidencia que la majoria és d’origen toponímic i antroponímic, i s’expressa la necessitat d’aproximar-s’hi amb un mètode multidisciplinari, sistemàtic i crític.

[eng] Surnames are nominal and hereditary elements of remote origin. Starting from the interest in knowing better their origin, this work focuses on explaining the genesis of one hundred surnames in the town of Ponts, taken from a population register of 1889 and a census of 1975. They are not just any words, for which the etymology must be sought; its origin can only be found if different factors, beyond language, are taken into account. This is why linguistic, historical and geographical notions have been considered in the analysis, in addition to the hypotheses of other authors. Thus, the work has resulted in a synthetic compendium of surnames with the origin, explanation and formal variants. Finally, in a concluding section, an overview of the results is offered, in which it is evident that the majority is of toponymic and anthroponymic origin, and the need to approach it with a multidisciplinary, systematic, and critical method is expressed.
