dc.description.abstract[en] Nowadays, the population of Catalonia enjoys one of the highest life expectancies in the world. With the increase in median age, it is crucial to ensure an optimal quality of life. Despite advancements in technology and medicine, this population group is more susceptible to diseases and infections. Additionally, the current high levels of pollution have a direct impact on these illnesses; therefore, it is essential to address this issue to promote healthy aging. The length of our lives and the proportion of it spent in good health have significant implications for both individuals and societies. This project is a continuation of the Bachelor's Thesis “Definition of Healthy Routes based on Geolocation Data and Pollution” carried out by Albert Pérez. It aims to improve the “Every Walk you Take” application to support physical activity and healthy aging for individuals. Specifically, these objectives will be achieved through the implementation of new features, such as considering the thermal sensation when recommending whether a route is healthy or not, the incorporation of two citizen science modules to gather information about the routes, and other modifications.ca
