Abstract

[spa] Los lugares que hemos sido es el reencuentro con un lugar de la infancia. También es el encuentro con un archivo que contiene una larga memoria familiar, y la búsqueda de la misma. Una búsqueda a través de la ausencia. Una búsqueda de la memoria a través de su dicotómico olvido. Apoyándose en la imagen, en testimonios, relatos y fotografías, adaptándose a su carácter subjetivo y resignificando su poder ficcional como vehículo hacia el presente, sin otro objetivo que militar en el ejército de la memoria. Los lugares que hemos sido se materializa en un foto libro que reúne una colección de fotografías analógicas, imágenes de archivo, y cianotipias. Las imágenes forman una constelación experimental. El retrato de un lugar liminal en mi memoria familiar y su revisita al mismo. Una nueva mirada atravesada por la nostalgia y la ficción del recuerdo, que se traslada a la imagen de forma literal.

[eng] Los lugares que hemos sido is the reunion with a childhood place. It is also the encounter with an archive that contains a long family memory, and the search for it. A search through absence. A search for memory through its dichotomous oblivion. Relying on the image, on testimonies, stories and photographs, adapting to its subjective character and resignifying its fictional power as a vehicle towards the present, with no other objective than to fight in the army of memory. Los lugares que hemos sido is materialized in a photobook that brings together a collection of analog photographs, archival images, and cyanotypes. The images form an experimental constellation. The portrait of a liminal place in my family memory and its revisiting. A new look crossed by nostalgia and the fiction of memory, which is transferred to the image in a literal way.
